释义

chirun.

/ˈtʃɪruː/
Forms: Also 9 chiro.
Etymology: Of Tibeto-Burman origin; perhaps a Bhutanese dialect word from northern Nepal. Chiru is not found in Tibetan, though it is likely that the final element represents the widespread Tibeto-Burman root ru horn.
The Tibetan antelope, Pantholops hodgsoni, with a thick, reddish-brown woolly coat, large nostrils, and (in the case of the male) very long straight horns.
