Origin: A borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element. Etymons: co- prefix, Latin dominus.
Etymology: < co- prefix + classical Latin dominus lord, ruler (see domine n.). Compare earlier condominium n.In plural form co-domini after the Latin plural form.
Each of the nations having joint sovereignty over a particular region. Used chiefly with reference to the United Kingdom and Egypt in relation to Sudan between 1899 and 1966 (now historical).
