Pathology.

A conical or discoidal prominence of the skin, due to overgrowth of the papillæ of the affected part, and of the epidermis covering them; occurring near the external openings of the mucous passages, in the larynx, and occasionally elsewhere. Condylomata called also ‘syphilitic warts’ and ‘mucous patches’ are known as ‘secondary symptoms’ of syphilis.
