Etymology: < ancient Greek ἄγριος wild, savage (see agriology n.) + -logist comb. form. Compare agriology n. N.E.D. (1884) gives the pronunciation as (ægriˌǫ·lŏdʒist) /æɡrɪˈɒlədʒɪst/.
