Origin: A borrowing from Aranda. Etymon: Aranda altjerreŋe.
Etymology: < Aranda (Northern Territory) altjerreŋe in the dreamtime < altjerre dream (see alchera n.) + ŋe from, of. Compare earlier alchera n. and also dreamtime n. 2.
In the mythology of some Australian Aboriginal peoples: = dreamtime n. 2. Cf. alchera n. 2.
