Etymology: < curate n. + -age suffix.In sense 2 after vicarage n.
1. Guardianship of another person not fully capable of conducting his or her own affairs, spec. guardianship of a minor after the age of tutelage; the position or responsibility of a guardian. Cf. curator n. 2. Obsolete. rare.
