Etymology: < de- prefix + glove v., after degloved adj.

transitive. To strip an extensive area of skin and subcutaneous tissue from (a hand, foot, or other part of the body). Also (as part of a surgical procedure): to expose (a part of the body) by peeling back the covering skin or membrane, esp. in one piece.
