Latin translations of Dioscorides.

Any plant of the genus Ajuga (family Lamiaceae ( Labiatae)), comprising herbaceous plants native chiefly to temperate regions of the Old World, which lack the floral upper lip characteristic of other plants of this family; esp. any of the cultivated varieties of the European common bugle, A. reptans, which are frequently grown in gardens as ornamental ground cover.
