A sub-species of cedar ( Cedrus Libani, var. Deodara), a large tree closely allied to the cedar of Lebanon, found native in the Western Himalayas from Nepal to Afghanistan, and now largely grown as an ornamental tree in England. The wood is of extreme durability.
