释义 | Deutschmarkn. Now historical. The former basic monetary unit of Germany, equal to 100 pfennigs; also, a coin of this value. Abbreviated D.M. or D-mark.The Deutschmark was instituted in the German Federal Republic in June 1948, and became the basic monetary unit of the whole of Germany following reunification in 1990; it was replaced by the euro in January 1999, and ceased to be legal tender in Germany after 28 February 2002, with the introduction of the euro coins and banknotes.
