Origin: A borrowing from Greek, combined with an English element. Etymons: Greek διάβολος , -logical comb. form.
Etymology: < Hellenistic Greek διάβολος devil (see devil n.) + -logical comb. form, originally after theological adj., in later use after diabology n. Compare German diabologisch (1581 in an apparently isolated attestation, subsequently from the first half of the 19th cent.).
Of or relating to diabology.
