释义 | dipeptidasen. Biochemistry. Any enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of a dipeptide into its two constituent amino-acids but does not act on tripeptides or higher peptides. ΚΠ 1927 Brit. Chem. Abstr. A. 794/1 The dipeptidase hydrolyses all the dipeptides tested, but has no action on various natural proteins. 1939 W. B. Yapp Introd. Animal Physiol. i. 29 In the crab Maia squinado and in the marine snail Murex anguliferus..the gut contains the same four proteases as are present in vertebrates, namely proteinase, carboxypolypeptidase, aminopolypeptidase, and dipeptidase. 1954 A. White et al. Princ. Biochem. xi. 233 Dipeptidases…specifically act only on certain dipeptides; an example is glycylglycine dipeptidase. 1960 E. L. Smith in P. D. Boyer et al. Enzymes IV. i. 8 Dipeptidases. As yet, none of these enzymes have been obtained in homogeneous form..however, it has been demonstrated that these enzymes do not attack tripeptides.
