Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin disclūdere.
Etymology: < classical Latin disclūdere to keep apart, shut out, to separate off into parts < dis- dis- prefix + claudere close v. In sense 1 influenced semantically by disclose v. With sense 3 compare earlier occlude v. 4, disocclude v., and also earlier disclusion n.2
