Frequently attributive, esp. in ELISA test.In standard ELISA tests, antigens (or antibodies) attached to a solid surface are used to bind the relevant antibodies (or antigens) in the test solution. These antigen-antibody complexes are detected by measuring the activity of an enzyme (esp. horseradish peroxidase) which is bound to another antibody.
