Etymology: < post-classical Latin epagomenus (4th cent.) or its etymon Hellenistic Greek ἐπαγόμενος (see epagomenic adj.) + -ous suffix.The related form epagomenous adj. at main sense is similarly < post-classical Latin epagomenus or its etymon Hellenistic Greek ἐπαγόμενος + -al suffix1.
