Compare classical Latin suprādictus , Anglo-Norman and Middle French surdit (c1300 or earlier in Anglo-Norman), and also Anglo-Norman suisdit , sutdit , sutzdit and Middle French, French susdit (1219 in Old French as susdict ). Compare earlier foresaid adj., and also aforesaid adj.Compare Old English bufan-cweden , bufan-gecweden ( < bove adv. + respectively cweden and gecweden , past participles of queath v.), bufan-sprecen ( < bove adv. + sprecen , past participle of sprecan speak v.), all in the same sense.
