Etymology: < evo- (in evolutionary adj.) + dev- (in developmental adj.), as shortened form of evolutionary developmental biology (see quot. 1997), remodelled (with reduplication of -o) to form a rhyming compound.
Biology.
A branch of biology concerned with the interaction of evolutionary and developmental processes.
