1876 P. H. Lawrence tr. B. von Cotta Rocks Classified ii. i. 135 Basaltic Rocks..a fine-grained dark grey to black mass, in which we are unable to distinguish between labradorite and augite. This fine-grained variety has been specially named by von Leonhard as Anamesite.
