Origin: Formed within English, by compounding. Etymons: anthropo- comb. form, -metrical comb. form.
Etymology: < anthropo- comb. form + -metrical comb. form. In sense 1 probably punningly after geometrical progression n. In sense 2 after anthropometry n.; compare slightly earlier anthropometric adj. and the French parallel cited at that entry.
1. Of or relating to the rate of increase in a human population. Obsolete.Apparently an isolated use.
