Etymology: < for- prefix1 + weary v.
Obsolete or archaic.
transitive. To weary, tire out. An intransitive sense, ‘to become wearied’ is given in the Cent. Dict. with reference to Palsgrave, but he has only the transitive sense. Many of the examples of the past participle might admit of being referred to the intransitive use.
