Etymology: Partly (in sense 1) < post-classical Latin angeiographia (1685 or earlier in sense 1) < angeio- angio- comb. form + -graphia -graphy comb. form, and partly (in senses 2 and 3) < angio- comb. form + -graphy comb. form.With sense 3 compare French angiographie (1933 or earlier), and angiogram n. 2.
1. The systematic description of the weights, measures, containers, and other utensils used by a particular nation or culture; a treatise which provides such a description. Obsolete.
