Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin fulgurālis.
Etymology: < classical Latin fulgurālis of or concerned with lightning < fulgur fulgur n. + -ālis -al suffix1.In fulgural books (compare quots. 1713, 1745) after classical Latin fulgurālēs lībrī.
Of or relating to lightning. Sometimes applied spec. to divination by lightning (in fulgural divination, fulgural science [compare French science fulgurale (1824 or earlier)] .
