genetrixn.

Brit. /ˈdʒɛnᵻtrɪks/, U.S. /ˈdʒɛnətrɪks/
Inflections: Plural genetrices, genetrixes.
Forms: 1500s genitrices (plural), 1600s genitrix, 1600s– genetrix.
Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymons: Latin genetrīx, genitrīx.
Etymology: < classical Latin genetrīx, genitrīx female parent, mother (also applied to one's native country), originator, creator, foundress, feminine form corresponding to genitor genitor n.: see -trix suffix. Compare earlier genitrice n. and the foreign-language forms cited at that entry. In classical Latin only the form genitrīx is found on inscriptions, while the form genetrīx prevails in manuscripts In plural form genetrices after the Latin plural form. Although quot. 1561 could alternatively be taken as showing the plural of genitrice n., it is more likely to belong at the present entry, since the source cited in the quot. was translated from a Latin version of Calvin's work.
A female parent, a mother. Also figurative, esp. applied to a person's native country.
