A person who acts as an agent in a hawala transaction; a hawala dealer. Cf. hawala n.

2000 Straits Times (Singapore) 4 May 36 When a customer wants money to be transferred to someone else in another country, he goes to a hawaladar, or remitting agent. The agent will, in turn, contact a hawaladar he knows in the other country and ask him to transfer the money, for a small percentage of the total transaction. The transfer is based on trust.
