释义 | Antoniten.adj. Christian Church. Now chiefly historical. A. n. A monk of the Hospital Brothers of St Anthony (see etymological note at Anthony n.). Later also occasionally: a member of a Maronite order founded in Lebanon at the end of the 17th cent. and still active in Lebanon and in communities of the Lebanese diaspora. Usually in plural.Cf.
