Designating a disorder occurring mainly in children, characterized by the presence of a palpable purpuric rash typically accompanied by a combination of other findings such as pain and swelling of the joints, colicky abdominal pain, and the presence of blood or protein in the urine.Henoch–Schönlein purpura is a vasculitis characterized by deposition of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in small blood vessels, and is thought to be triggered by infection or allergy. Its usual outcome is full recovery.
