Sexual intercourse between people of the same sex, esp. (in later use) men; homosexual sex.Now frequently used (esp. in queer theory) as an alternative to using the words gay or homosexual with reference to sex between men, on the basis that not all men who engage in such sexual activity identify as homosexual or gay.
