Any unconscious or unacknowledged preference that affects a person's outlook or behaviour; (now esp.) an unconscious favouritism towards or prejudice against people of a particular race, gender, or group that influences one's actions or perceptions. Cf. unconscious bias n.In early use probably not a fixed collocation.
