Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French enclinable.
Etymology: < Anglo-Norman and Middle French enclinable, Middle French inclinable (French inclinable ) having a tendency towards (an action, behaviour, etc.) (13th cent. in Old French in enclinable a ), favourably disposed, propitious (second half of the 14th cent.) < encliner , incliner incline v. + -able -able suffix. Compare classical Latin inclīnābilis easily persuaded, prone (to).In sense 4 after incline v.

1. In predicative use. Having a tendency to behave, think, feel, etc., in a particular way; mentally or emotionally predisposed; ready or willing to do something. Also: easily persuaded. Cf. inclined adj. 1a.
