Etymology: < inclusive adj. + -ness suffix.The following apparent earlier example is more likely to show a typographical error for inconclusiveness n.:1688 H. Wharton Treat. Celibacy of Clergy Pref. sig. Av Few Divines of our Church have handled this Controversie [sc. celibacy], or endeavoured to shew the inclusiveness of those Authorities [sc. popes, councils, doctors], and weakness of this Antiquity.
The fact or quality of being inclusive; (now) esp. the practice or policy of not excluding any person on the grounds of race, gender, religion, age, disability, etc.
