Etymology: < in- prefix3 + cord n.1 + -ing suffix1, after Italian incordato, noun (see incorded adj.). Compare Italian incordamento (1575 or earlier), incordatura (1589 or earlier), in same senses. Compare incorded adj. and later incord v.
Farriery. Obsolete.
The condition of having a hernia, esp. an inguinal hernia; the development of a hernia; a hernia itself.
