释义 | ashtangan. Yoga. More fully ashtanga yoga. Originally: a form of yoga based on eight principles and incorporating meditation, physical activity, and spiritual practices. In later use chiefly: spec. a system of physical exercise associated with this, in which a set series of postures are executed in swift succession in combination with deep, controlled breathing. Cf. power yoga n. at power n.1 Compounds 3, vinyasa n.The eight principles are usually identified as abstention, observance, posture, regulated breathing, withdrawal of the senses, concentration, contemplation, and meditation.
