A member of an Afro-Guyanese religious group which follows the doctrines of Nathaniel Jordan.The origins of the Jordanite faith are traced to Joseph MacLaren, a Grenadian Anglican who visited Guyana in 1895, where the Church of West Evangelist Millennium Pilgrims was founded. Nathaniel Jordan joined this church in 1917 and became a prominent preacher. The Jordanite belief system combines elements of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Guyanese folk traditions and practices.
