1. A member of a people of north-eastern India and Bangladesh, living mainly in the Indian states of Meghalaya and Assam and speaking the Khasi language; (also) an Indo-Aryan people inhabiting the hills of Kumaon and Garhwal; a member of one of these peoples. Also attributive or as adj.
