Origin: A borrowing from Tagalog. Etymon: Tagalog KKB.
Etymology: < Tagalog KKB, initialism < kaniya-kaniyang bayad < kaniya, third person singular oblique pronoun + kaniya + -ng connective + bayad payment.
Philippine English.
Kaniya-kaniyang bayad’, lit. ‘each one pays their own’, used esp. to indicate that the cost of a meal is to be shared. Also as adj.
