Origin: A borrowing from Dutch. Etymon: Dutch koker.
Etymology: < Dutch koker the outlet of a sluice (e.g. a pipe or sluice gate) (18th cent.), specific use of koker (typically cylindrical) receptacle, quiver (see cocker n.1).
In Guyana: a sluice gate.
