单词 | landsmål |
释义 | Landsmåln. A literary form of Norwegian devised by the Norwegian philologist Ivar Aasen (1813–1896) from the country dialects most closely descended from Old Norse, and considered to be a ‘purer’ form of the Norwegian language than the official Riksmål or Dano-Norwegian. The Landsmål controversy followed the appearance of Aasen's grammar and dictionary (1848 and 1850); in 1885 Landsmål was given equal status with Dano-Norwegian.
