1940 Mineral. Abstr. VII. 489 Lautite associated with arsenic, tetrahedrite, [etc.].., is found in the Gabe Gottes mine at Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines (Haut-Rhin). It forms bunches of crystals up to 6 cm. × 6–7 mm., showing a brilliant (001) cleavage, enclosed in native arsenic.

1967 Mineral. Abstr. 18 97/1 Lautite was obtained by heating a mixture of realgar and electrolytic copper under 1000 kg/cm² to 315° C.
