1957 Observer 27 Oct. 15/6 It was a ‘Loi-Cadre’ for Algeria which provoked the collapse of the French government.
1967 Economist 29 Apr. 435/2 The French have long used and abused the technique of decree-laws and loi-cadres to overcome the difficulties of inefficient rule by the assembly.
1968 Encycl. Brit. I. 624A/1 De Gaulle ignored a loi-cadre, laboriously passed by the French National Assembly, which provided for the setting up of regional assemblies in Algeria.
