单词 lutz
释义

lutzn.

Brit. /lʊts/, /luːts/, U.S. /ləts/, /lʊts/
Forms: also with capital initial.
Origin: From a proper name. Etymon: proper name Lutz.
Etymology: < the name of Alois Lutz (1898–1918), Austrian figure skater, who invented this jump and first performed it in 1913.The origin of the term has sometimes also been given as the name of Gustave François Lussi (1898–1993), Swiss figure skating coach, but, in addition to the poor formal match between the name and the word, Lussi was a coach rather than a skater, and did not specialize in spins.
Figure-skating.
A jump in which the skater takes off from the back outside edge of one skate, using the toe of the free foot to assist the take-off, makes at least one complete rotation in the air, and lands on the back outside edge of the opposite skate. Also (and in earliest use) more fully as Lutz jump.
