Origin: Formed within English, by compounding; perhaps modelled on a Latin lexical item. Etymons: Macedonian adj.1, -o- connective.
Etymology: < Maced- (in Macedonian adj.1) + -o- connective, perhaps after classical Latin Macedō (see Macedon n.).
