Etymology: Origin uncertain. Perhaps < man n.1 (in the Caribbean sense ‘extremely strong’) + dram n.1 N.E.D. (1905) gives the pronunciation as (mæ·ndræm) /ˈmændræm/.
Chiefly Jamaican. Obsolete.
A drink made from wine and finely-chopped vegetables.
