Etymology: Representing a colloquial (especially southern) U.S. pronunciation of Mexican n. Dict. Amer. Regional Eng. s.v. Mexican lists also a form Messakin, and labels the forms Mescan, Meskin, and Messakin as south-western, especially Texan.
U.S. colloquial (usually derogatory).
A Mexican; a Mexican-American. Also attributive or as adj.
