A white granular aluminosilicate of the zeolite group, occurring on the Faroe Islands and now thought to be either levyne, chabazite, or a variety of thomsonite. ΚΠ 1822 J. J. Berzelius in Edinb. Philos. Jrnl. 7 6 These two minerals have a great relation with the Mesolite; and in order to distinguish them, I shall call the upper stratum Mesole, and the lower grained stratum Mesoline. 1868 J.
