Etymology: < post-classical Latin mensurator measurer (in a work attributed to St Jerome) < mensurat- , past participial stem of mensurare (see measure v.) + -or -or suffix.
Now rare.
A device or instrument for measuring. (In quot. 1645 perhaps: a means of comparison.)
