Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin meō periculō.
Etymology: < classical Latin meō periculō so as to take the responsibility myself, at my (own) risk < meō , neuter ablative of meus my (see meum n.2) + perīculō , ablative of perīculum danger, risk, liability (see peril n.).
Now rare.
