Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: mist n.1, -ful suffix.
Etymology: < mist n.1 + -ful suffix.In quot. 1733 the emendation of the Folio reading mixtfull to mistful is Warburton's; more recent editors of the play have chosen to emend the text differently: A. Gurr (1992) emends to wilful; T. W. Craik (1995) to my full.
Chiefly poetic.
Full of mist; obscured with or as if with mist.
