mirableadj.

Forms: late Middle English 1600s mirable, late Middle English–1500s myrable.
Origin: Of multiple origins. Partly a borrowing from French. Partly a borrowing from Latin. Etymons: French mirable; Latin mīrābilis.
Etymology: < Anglo-Norman and Middle French mirable (late 12th cent. in Old French in forms miraible , mirauble ) and their etymon classical Latin mīrābilis (see marvel n.1). Compare Old Occitan mirable (12th cent.), Italian mirabile (a1294). Compare also mirable n.Perhaps attested earlier as a surname, e.g. John Mirable (1289), Odoenus Mirable (late 13th cent.), Henrico Mirable (1301), etc., although it is uncertain whether these are to be taken as reflecting the Anglo-Norman or the Middle English word. Alternatively, such examples could show use as matronymic surname of the female forename Mirable, variant of Mirabel.
Obsolete.
Wonderful, marvellous.
