1976 McGraw-Hill Yearbk. Sci. & Technol. 181/2 Miraculin was marketed at one time by the Miralin Corporation as a sweetener in dietetic foods. In the fall of 1974, foods containing miraculin were removed from the market by the manufacturer when the FDA removed that sweetener from the GRAS list because of insufficient qualifying data and lack of historical use by United States consumers.
