Designating either of two closely-related retroviruses that are oncogenic in mice, one of which (in full Moloney leukaemia virus, Moloney murine leukaemia virus) causes lymphomas and leukaemia, and the other of which (in full Moloney murine sarcoma virus, Moloney sarcoma virus) causes rhabdomyosarcomas.
